Requirements for advanced degrees are established by the Graduate School. Graduate studies in the Department of Plant Science are based on faculty research projects. The student’s advisory committee determines the required coursework and subject and scope of the research.
Financial aid is available from graduate assistantships and scholarships. Most graduate students in the department receive graduate assistantships, either from departmental funds or from external grants. Graduate assistants are also granted a waiver of tuition.
Research facilities include laboratories, field locations, nursery and greenhouse facilities. Most laboratories are recently constructed or renovated and are well equipped. |
