NRME Graduate Financial Aid
The Department of Natural Resources and the Environment offers a limited number of full-time and
half-time graduate teaching and research assistantships
and fellowships, available on a competitive basis to
graduate students admitted with regular status.
Application for assistantships and certain scholarships
should be made directly to the department, using the
form provided with the application for admission
to The Graduate School. For full consideration for the fall semester, application
by April 1st is suggested.
Stipend rates for graduate students are graduated in terms of progress toward
the advanced degree and experience. Current rates can be found at the University's
Human Resources website.
Additional benefits include tuition waivers for any
full-time student on a half or full -time assistantship. Students on both
half and full-time assistanships may purchase excellent health care coverage,
heavily subsidized by UConn. More information regarding medical insurance
