October 2008
We are excited to announce that Dr. Michael Willig, a Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Director of the Center for Environmental Sciences and Engineering, has accepted a Joint Appointment in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment. Prof. Willig has a research focus that is multidisciplinary and characterized by rigorous quantitative approaches to questions relevant to ecology, biogeography and conservation biology. As such, his background and experiences strongly compliment the Department on many levels. In addition, he brings a strong quantitative and statistical perspective to a variety of issues in natural resources management and he works at large spatial and temporal scales, thus amplifying Departmental research at local and regional levels. We are very excited that Mike has accepted our invitation to join our Department and look forward to our continued and synergistic collaborations!
