Atmospheric Resources

The Atmospheric Resources program is directed at research, education, and extension in biosphere-atmosphere interactions and is one of the best equipped and staffed forest meteorology programs in the U.S.

The Atmospheric Resources program focuses on:

  • forest and wild land meteorology
  • biometeorology
  • air pollution meterology
  • research instrumentation design
  • mathematical modeling
  • and more...


Students in the Atmospheric Resources program may be involved in research such as Pesticide Spray Drift, Forest Canopy Flow Modeling, UVB Modeling and Measurement, Air Quality Model Development, Atmospheric Deposition, Rainfall in Connecticut, Remote LIDAR Measurements, Tree Canopy Architecture, Greenhouse Microclimate, and more.
