Recycle grass clippings back to the lawn to return valuable nitrogen within the turf ecosystem, thereby reducing the amount of added nitrogen required from lawn fertilizer by 50%.
Shred leaves with a lawn mower or shredder to turn these bulky items into small pieces of organic material that serve as mulch in your flower and ornamental beds.
Add leaves and garden debris to a compost pile to create humus that can be then used in potted plants, as a soil amendment in the garden and as a lawn fertilizer.
Place wood trimmings in a pile to attract various forms of wildlife, or chip the trimmings for use as mulch or on garden pathways.
