| The New London County Agricultural Extension Council, Inc. is a board of community volunteers that supports and guides Extension education programming in New London County. The Extension Council owned the New London County Extension Center building until 1999, when the building was turned over to the University of Connecticut. The Extension Council was a strong advocate for renovating the building and maintaining it as an Extension education and outreach center.

The committee is representative of the 4-H program in NLC with volunteers from the Extension Council, 4-H Leaders, parents, teen, and community partners. This committee works with the NLC 4-H Program Coordinator in planning and supporting county 4-H events.
The New London County 4-H Fair Association, Inc. plans and conducts the annual New London County 4-H Exposition in North Stonington. 4-H youth work with adult mentors and learn leadership skills while serving as 4-H Fair Association officers, superintendents and activity chairmen.
