October 13 - 4-H in Forty Workshop - Team Building for Youth Programs, 7:00 pm - Presented by Marc Cournoyer, UConn 4-H.  Add some new team building activities to your 'knapsack'!  Workshop covers both in-person and virtual activities.

October 25 - CT 4-H Virtual Equine Poster Challenge - Deadline for entry submission.


November 10 - 4-H in Forty Workshop - 4-H Just in Time:  Equity Dialogues for Youth, 7:00 pm - Presented by Marc Cournoyer, UConn 4-H.  A timely and relevant resource for youth development workers from the National 4-H Program Leaders Working Group.  Lessons are designed to foster honest conversations with youth about social justice issues.


December 8 - 4-H in Forty Workshop - What About Me?  Protecting Your Body, Mind, and Well Being in 2020/2021, 7:00 pm - Presented by Allison Behnke, MSW, MA, Integrative Health Coach - Alli is a social worker, nutrition and health coach and personal trainer with an extensive background in mental health.  She works with adults to find their bio-individual balance and achieve goals with nutrition, health, wellness and lifestyle.  


January 12 - 4-H in Forty Workshop - Photography, 7:00 pm - Rachael Trowbridge, UConn 4-H Member - Learn about composition and analyzing photos, and basics about DSLR cameras if desired.


Feb. 1 - ESE 4-H Beef steers - entered online through ESE site and tagged by Feb. 1 for ESE consideration.  Contact Laura Marek to make arrangements.

February 9 - 4-H in Forty Workshop Parliamentary Procedures in Real Life, 7:00 pm - Emily Alger, UConn 4-H - How to use and teach 'Parli-Pro' in 4-H and community meetings.

February 20 - Horsin' In Stride Virtual Event and On Line Model Horse Show.


March 9 - 4-H in Forty Workshop - Re-engaging Youth in 4-H Programs, 7:00 pm - Emily Alger and Pam Gray, UConn 4-H - Kids disconnect from 4-H for many reasons - a real concern after extended virtual programming.  Here's a look at why they disconnect and how to reconnect.


April 1 - Verification forms due for Horse for ESE consideration

April 10 - Quiz Bowl and State 4-H Horse Public Speaking, Haddam Extension Center; Schedule may need to accommodate varied arrival and departure times.

April 10-15 - National 4-H Conference, Virtual Event

April 13 - 4-H in Forty Workshop - 4-H SPIN Clubs, 7:00 pm - Pam Gray, UConn 4-H - What is a SPIN (Special Interest) Club?  These 4-H clubs are usually short term (6-8 sessions) and focused on one topic/project area.  Find out more about 4-H SPIN Clubs and how they fit into 4-H.

April 24 - State 4-H Hippology Contest, UConn Storrs campus pending rules for on-campus activities.


May 1 - Verification forms due for Dairy Cattle, Beef Heifers for ESE consideration and Horse and Beef for 4-H Fair Showing
***For 2020 Deadline is May 15 (grace period with late fee is May 30)

May 11 - 4-H in Forty Workshop - Nourishing Herbal Infusions and Fermenting Vegetables, 7:00 pm - Emily Allard, UConn 4-H Leader - Using nature's bounty to prepare infusions, and using fermentation as food preservation.

May 15 - Giddy Up Games, Haddam Extension Center.


June 1 - Recognition Forms due for consideration to attend National 4-H Dairy Conference and National 4-H Congress

Verification forms due for dog, rabbit, cavies, small animals, goat, swine, working steer, llama, alpaca, poultry and sheep for 4-H fair showing
