Winter,
spring, summer, or fall... a Connecticut farm visit
is always in season. |

|
A
new interactive map www.ctfarms.uconn.edu helps
you locate a local Christmas tree, rhododendron,
vegetable stand, or hayride. Over 200 Connecticut
farm destinations, with directions, hours, and phone
numbers, and 13 commodity groups, such as wineries
and orchards, yield many choices for any season.

Do
you and your family have a plan for the farmland
you own? Are you a young farmer who is looking for
land? According to state statute, The Connecticut
FarmLink Program and website is designed to be a
clearinghouse for the transition between generations
of farmers with the goal of keeping farmland in production.
Farmland is irreplaceable. There is a new generation
of young farmers who want to be tomorrow’s
Stewards of the Land. But they do not have land to
work.
