Dean's update

This past week I had the opportunity to give testimony to a legislative committee and spend some time observing our legislature at work. While this is a very difficult session given the budget situation, UConn and our College have numerous friends and supporters. In this particular case, our testimony regarding continuation of the veterinary contract program for our students received a sympathetic hearing and we are hopeful that this modestly funded program will be continued. It was clear in visiting with several legislators and stakeholder groups that everyone is doing their best to ensure that programs critical to Connecticut are maintained during this difficult time.
