2009 Connecticut Horse Symposium

Saturday – Sunday March 21-22, 2009, 10AM-5 PM

University of Connecticut, Storrs – Ratcliffe Hicks Arena and Horsebarn Hill Arena

Sponsored by the University of Connecticut Department of Animal Science, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Connecticut Horse Council

Events this year:

Pilates for equestrians, natural horsemanship, saddle fitting, the importance of prepurchase exams, UConn Morgan Drill team, Cowboy Mounted Shooting Jackpot Ride, team penning, UConn Equestrian Team, polo game, UConn Dressage Team, dressage demonstration, 4-H donkeys, therapeutic riding demo, equine dentistry, latest information on deworming and vaccinations, care of the foal, reducing anxiety when riding, the importance of equine insurance, take a field trip to area horse farms, and much, much more.

Also featuring: vendor fair, coloring contest, silent auction for youth and adults

Fees (No pre-registration needed!):

Money raised is used to directly support equine research and extension programs at the University of Connecticut!
