workoutServing the UCONN and Storrs Community, Hawley Armory has a long history and tradition at the University of Connecticut, primarily as a health and fitness training facility.  Did you know that the Men’s and Women’s basketball games were held at Hawley Armory before the Fieldhouse was built?

Today, Hawley is here to serve UCONN faculty and staff, helping you meet your fitness and wellness goals.  The Hawley Armory Fitness Center is located in the lower level of Hawley, housing treadmills, ellipticals, stair climbing machines, resistance equipment and more.  In addition, the Fitness Center offers personal training with certified trainers.  We also offer group fitness, yoga, spinning, and Sole Synthesis® classes! Tabata Bootcamp TM -  Next Session in January - please watch for details!

Julie Lynch, Certified Tabata Bootcamp TM Instructor, is teaching this popular fitness trend of High Intensity Interval Training.  This method of exercise helps burn more calories during - and after - the workout. 

Program includes:

  • Two instructor-led classes each week
  • Muscle strength, endurance, flexibility AND cardio fitness benefits
  • 24/7 website access, including workouts, connecting with other bootcampers, and progress tracking
  • Access to Hawley fitness center during the program
