• New! File of Life: Students from the School of Pharmacy will be preparing “files of Life” for those who would like to receive them. An interviewer will collect self-reported medical information and prepare a portable printed document that can help both in times of emergency or at a medical appointment. (No information will be saved.)

Pathobiology and Veterinary Science

• Connecticut Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory
• UConn PreVet Club: Learn about the PreVet Club and visit with some of their own animals. Tshirt sales and drawing for a beta fish

Plant Science

• The Plant Doctors: Have your ailing plants diagnosed and gardening questions answered by staff from the Home and Garden Education Center
• Soil Testing Lab: Bring 1/2 cup of soil for a free pH test and limestone application recommendation; general information on soil testing
• Integrated Pest Management: Including information on biological control of white grubs, invasive plants and the IPM school curriculum. Bring invasive plant samples and insects for identification.
• Triple-mission willow: Benefits for growers, consumers and the environment: Learn about living structures made of willow. Tour the willow living structures at the College’s agronomy farm (see other scheduled activities below)
• New England Invasive Plant Center
• Landscape Architecture: Learning Through Community Outreach. Also, tours of the Landscape Architecture studios in the Young Building

Guided hike in the UConn Forest Approximately 90-minute guided by faculty members from the Department of Natural Resources Management and Engineering. This is a Walktober/Walking Weekends walk.
