Dean's update

Our recent bout of wintry weather gave me the opportunity to incorporate another round of comments and suggestions from the writing committee on our draft strategic plan. The writing committee, consisting of Larry Silbart, Sandy Bushmich, Karl Guillard, Karen Filchak, Jack Clausen and Sara Putnam, has been working diligently with me to take the materials from the various working groups and crafting a draft plan. After several face-to-face meetings and rounds of revision, we have now forwarded the draft to the rest of the College administrative team for comment and suggestions for change. Once their comments are considered and incorporated, we will be posting the draft plan for review and comment by the entire College family. As of now, we remain on track for a March 1 submission to the provost.  While we still have a long way to go, our plan is beginning to take shape.
